Bonbom
BONBOM is a high-end unisex brand centered on women’s clothing established and developed by designer Bonbom Jo in 2020.
BONBOM begins its design in the process of reinterpreting Western clothes in a modern way and develops a design that adjusts a large amount of fabric in a unique way.
In the process of seeking a modern way to highlight the body’s silhouette while showcasing an abundance of fabric, he found his answer in pleats, which have since become a defining signature of the brand. Each season, these pleats are reinterpreted and presented in new forms.
Designer Bon-bom Jo developed an early fascination with the human body, influenced by his father, an anatomy professor. While studying Western clothing history, he became interested in garments such as bustles and corsets, which he reinterprets into contemporary high-fashion designs that emphasize the body while remaining wearable today.
BONBOM continues to expand its presence through a range of global initiatives, including consecutive collaborations with Maison MIHARA YASUHIRO, continued collaborations with stylist Betsy Johnson, campaign shoots with photographer Kito Muñoz, campaign shoots with top model So- ra Choi, a debut at the Paris Tranoï trade show, a seasonal Paris showroom, and a 26SS Paris Fashion Week runway show at the Palais de Tokyo.
Starting with collaborations with BLACKPINK, BONBOM has worked beyond traditional collections with leading K-pop artists in Korea such as BTS, AESPA, IVE, and ENHYPEN, continuously developing its own visual identity through diverse collaborative projects.
