AMBRE BABZOE
Ambre Babzoe, designer of the eponymous brand, has always been immersed in different cultures and has grown up with these multiple influences.
A collection that combines modernity and ethnic influences. Ambre Babzoe’s creations are based on Zen forms; the silver is brushed, almost raw, and often engraved with poetic messages/matters of ancient wisdom. A chic simplicity, an almost primitive design, which immediately seduce in France and abroad.
Her desire to go elsewhere led her to Bali where she finally settled in 2000. She set up a workshop for her jewellery and in 2004, she started making women’s clothing and accessories, inspired by the artistic energy and richness of the island of Bali’s crafts. The ready-to-wear business grew and the success of Ambre Babzoe’s clothing grew in France and beyond: most of the pieces in her collection are entirely handmade, using traditional know-how.
The style of her ready-to-wear collections is declined in soft and feminine tones. Ambre Babzoe superimposes natural materials, such as cotton voile or silk chiffon. The look is naturally casual and nonchalant, but always marked by a particular/original signature.
